Aims:
To introduce Reason to the new user and familiarise them with a computer based virtual studio environment, including:
Basic programming techniques
Pattern Sequencing
Sound manipulation
Learning Outcomes: by the end of the course, students should be able to:
Understand the Basics of Reason
Programme Beats
Understand the basics of the Reason sequencer
Have basic understanding of Sound Synthesis
Have basic understanding of Reason Samplers
Convert their work to Audio
Any prior knowledge or experience needed?
Students should have basic computer skills, and preferably access to a PC for home tutorial work.
Suggestions for further study or for using the skills and knowledge gained: Although this course is just a basic grounding, the final goal of these workshops is to enable the student to become confident in the use of the software, and hopefully progress on to further advancement in Reason.
