Affordable tickets for Opera North, music production taster, new courses and more

Tickets for Opera North performances

We want to let you know about all the upcoming events that Opera North are running at the moment which are available to Cloth Cat members and users. These amazing events are either free or very low cost and a special arrangement due to our partnership with ON so let me know which you’d like to attend. Whistlestop Opera: The Magic Flute 

Performed by three professional opera singers and an accordionist and inspired by Mozart’s famous opera The Magic Flute, this 40-minute production is the perfect opportunity for people of all ages to experience the magic of opera. The story follows the adventures of Prince Tamino and the bird-catcher Papageno on their quest to rescue Pamina. These are outdoor performances.

A Little Night Music at Leeds Playhouse

This exciting new production of Stephen Sondheim’s Broadway musical is a collaboration between Leeds Playhouse and Opera North. It’s a passionate story of intertwined love affairs with some great tunes, the most famous one being ‘Send in the Clowns’.  The performance finishes at 10pm

We can offer up to 4 tickets per group per performance but let us know as soon as possible if you need more and we’ll try our best to accommodate you.   Please let us know ASAP for the Whistlestop at Slung Low this Saturday, and by Wednesday 16 June for A Little Night Music and the Whistlestop performances at Hyde Park Book Club.

Tickets for the Whistlestop Opera are free, but there is a suggested contribution of £5 per ticket for A Little Night Music.   Payment can be made in advance by BACS or cheque, or in an envelope on the night with the exact money only.

In order to keep everybody safe, all the venues and Opera North are following the government guidelines. One of the Community team will be there to welcome you in person at the event.  There is more information here:
